Spring Into Action!
Hand in Hand & Spring into Action are our two service camps that give us the chance to worship God by serving others together. This worship through service can look like yard work, light housekeeping, cleaning up natural areas or roadsides, organizing food pantries or nonprofit thrift stores, working with horse therapy, or whatever is needed where we are! We spend a lot of time in the community, so we need 1 adult for every 5-6 youth to provide transportation to the sites.

WHAT TO BRING
General Items:
• Clothes: Clothes that can get dirty / ruined for Saturday; if you participated in last year’s event, bring your Hand in Hand t-shirt. Casual clothes for Sunday worship are fine.
• Bedding: Sleeping bag or sheets for twin size bunk beds, pillow
• Towel, washcloth, deodorant, toiletries, flashlight
• Bible
• Nonperishable snack (chips or cookies) or a two-liter soft drink

For the worksite:
• Work gloves, water bottle, closed toed shoes. It may not hurt to plan to wear long pants.
• Bring an open mind and spirit, a servant's heart and willing hands!

WHAT TO EXPECT
We will spend Friday evening preparing ourselves for Christ-modeled servanthood. This will include Bible study and group building as well as learning about the communities we will serve and the specific worksites to which we will be assigned. Most of Saturday will be spent on the worksites.

On Saturday we will be working together as a group around the Isle of Palms Retreat Center and area.

On Saturday evening we'll process the day and begin to think of ways to carry forward our experience.

COVID-19 Protocol
Due to COVID-19 we ask that all participants be tested
upon arrival to their age group’s retreat. We will provide
the testing and will have a qualified administrator on
hand to administer the tests.

We also ask that each participant mask while indoors
in gathering spaces.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation!
We are excited about our upcoming retreats and
strive to keep our participants and their families safe
while we partake in fun and fellowship together!
